Dr. Ciro Bustillo-LeCompte is a multidisciplinary scholar specializing in civil, environmental, and chemical engineering, with a focus on health and safety. He holds a PhD and MASc from Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Cartagena, Colombia. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PEng), Environmental Professional (EP), Fraternal Member of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI), and Queen Elizabeth Scholar (QES). He serves as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Occupational and Public Health and an Affiliate Fellow of the Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Health Equity and Community Wellbeing at Toronto Metropolitan University. He is an Associate Editor of Frontiers in Public Health and Frontiers in Environmental Engineering. His community-engaged research promotes evidence-based solutions for health equity and community resilience.
