Selcan Karakuş

Associate Professor Selcan Karakuş is currently a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa (IU-C), Türkiye. She earned her M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry from Istanbul University in 2006, followed by a Ph.D. in the same field in 2011. She also served as a visiting researcher at the University of Massachusetts, Department of Polymer Science and Engineering in the USA. Her research focuses on drug delivery systems, adsorption, biosensors, antimicrobial and anticancer nanostructures, as well as advanced wound healing systems. She has been involved in several national and international research projects. In addition to publishing numerous research articles, she has contributed as an invited book chapter author and served as an editor for several scientific books in her field.‬
